The Team

The team behind D-MACH is totally interdisciplinary, bringing together specialists in heritage, the creative industries, science and engineering.

The team at the Centre for Digital Modelling and Analysis for Cultural Heritage (D-MACH) is drawn from across Manchester Metropolitan University. Our parent faculty is Arts and Humanities, but the scientific work we undertake requires specialists from a much bigger range of disciplines. We have experts in micro-CT imaging, creative design, structured light scanning, and additive manufacturing. This is the reality of heritage science – its a multi-disciplinary field. We’re also delighted to be based alongside the expert team at PrintCity, one of the UK’s foremost  3D additive and digital manufacturing centres, right in the heart of Manchester.
